-
All levels! Exact workshop curriculum will be customized to the level of the retreat attendees.
All classes are taught in a progressive nature, starting with the foundational aspect of the movement pattern and building levels of difficulty on top of that. We like to think of the progressions as bus stops; you can get off on the one that challenges you! -
Some retreat attendees travel with a partner. However, this often leads to attendees missing out on impromptu, casual connection time with fellow polers or instructors, so they can spend time with their partner. It’s up to you, but you may want to make it a solo trip!
-
Generally, each day involves excursions or flexibility time from 8-10am. Workshops happen from 10am-1pm daily, except on photoshoot day. Most evenings include an optional social event.

How we visit Hawai’i thoughtfully:
Supporting local businesses: We patronize small Hawai'ian businesses, rather than supporting large corporations. All of our optional excursions are with locally owned businesses, including Manta Ray diving with Kona Honu Divers and island-based local photographers. The accommodations that we recommend at the Kona Islander Inn are individually owned by Hawai'i residents, as well as rentals owned by locally based pole dancers, rather than big chain hotels.
Partnering with the Hawai’ian pole community: We are thrilled to partner with and rent studio time from The Pod, Kona's only pole studio, and Pole HI in Hilo. We offer all open slots in our retreat workshops to Pole Hale instructors free of charge, because we believe in giving back to the local pole community who hosts us.
Respecting native culture and land: We ensure our attendees understand the importance of respecting the native Hawai'ian culture - including by not taking lava rocks or sand, using local place names, practicing Leave No Trace and avoiding contact with wildlife. We explain how to identify places that locals don't want tourists to go. We discuss how to be respectful with geotagging practices.
