Our Values

Pole dance studios have traditionally been a one-woman operation, a “labor of love” that isn’t run sustainably. Often, studio owners burn out fast, leaving owners saddled with debt and creating a void in the space where a pole community had been.

We’re doing things differently here at Pole + Dance, building sustainability and longevity from the top. We’re creating a healthy, thriving network of studios run by a team of pole professionals who love their work, believe in the mission, and support each other.

Our Mission

Create pole dance classes, curriculum, and teacher training programs that emphasize safety, connection, technique, and joy. How are we doing this?

Sustainability + Longevity

We want to build a business that can withstand major roadblocks like recession, floods, or lawsuits without risking bankruptcy.

Respect + Inclusivity

We want a community where every person who shares our values can feel seen and heard.

Body Neutrality

Community First

Strong interpersonal connections create a thriving community and a strong business.

We value pole dance for the dance, art and fitness aspects. We want all people to feel welcome in our spaces, regardless of their goals.

Playfulness + Joy

We value the pleasurable journey over the destination.

Technical Excellence

Strong, safe techniques keep our students and staff safe and keep everyone dancing for as long as possible.

Clean + Thoughtful Spaces

Beautiful, engaging environments make our people feel like dancing.

Community Agreements

This Code of Conduct is posted in all our studio spaces and we expect everyone to abide by it whenever they’re in the studio.

We want our students and staff to feel safe, welcome, and joyful in our community!
