Pole Foundations (Intro)

Pole Foundations is our introductory level pole class for those new to pole dancing. We will begin by conditioning strength and technique for inversion preparation and climbing then move into beginner level movements including spins, sits, and floorwork. From there, we’ll put those spins, tricks and floorwork together to create choreography.

 

Recommended attire: short shorts, sports bra, and tank top

Pole L2 (Beg+/Intermediate)

In Pole 2, we will develop strength and condition to start going upside down, inverting to outside and inside leg hangs. We will develop new movements such as Crucifix, Teddy Hold, Side Climbs, and Jasmine. We will build combos on static pole and start to introduce spin pole elements.

 

Pre-reqs: Ability to climb to the top of the pole and perform a floor “inversion”

Pole L3 (Intermediate)

In Pole 3, we will work on conditioning strength and intermediate tricks such as Jade Split, Shoulder Mount variations and transitions, and Brass Monkey tumbles. Each class includes a static pole combo and a spin pole combo putting tricks together. 

Prereqs: Outside and Inside Leg Hangs, Superhero, Butterfly

Pole L4 (Advanced)

In Pole L4, we’ll begin working on Handsprings technique and strength, tricks from Aerial Shoulder Mount and Brass Monkey as well as develop technique on spin pole! This class emphasizes combos putting moves together and focusing on unique transitions.

Prereqs: Reverse grab, Caterpillar Climb, Shoulder Mount, Brass Monkey 

Pole Tricks Clinic (L2+)

In this Tricks Clinic class, we will progressively build on foundational movements to develop new tricks and transitions for at least one spin pole combo and one static pole combo. This class incorporates a mix of classic moves such as handspring, ayesha, and leg hangs and mixes them with new trendy shapes. 

Prereq: Have taken three or more L2 classes

Pole Inversions Conditioning (All Levels)

In this all levels Pole Inversions Conditioning, we will work on climbs, inverts and knee hangs while focusing on technique and building endurance through circuit training. This class is often used as a bridge class between Foundations & L2 and is helpful for anyone who wants to build on their aerial basics.

Prereq: Have taken three or more L2 classes

Heels Choreography (Beg/Int)

This all levels Heels Choreography class incorporates slow movement around the pole, transitions to the floor and floor work. We’ll develop body waves, heel clacks, splits, and slinky leg waves. This class will help you learn control, coordination, and proper execution of dance elements. 

Recommended Equipment: Heels optional (but recommended), kneepads required

Prereq: Have taken at least three Pole Foundations classes

Heels Choreography (Int/Adv)

This Int/Adv Heels Choreography class incorporates more advanced heels work such as thread throughs, weaves, skates, and dynamic tricks. We’ll develop extension, musicality, fluidity and may incorporate Force style elements such as kips, rolls, throws, dynamic spins and pirouette variations.

Recommended attire: Heels recommended (but optional), knee pads required

Prereqs: Inversion from standing, Shoulder Roll

Lyra (L1)

In this beginner level Lyra class, we will build strength through conditioning drills on and off of the hoop. Students will learn variations on how to mount the hoop, 3-4 tricks, and transitions between the tricks to create choreography in the air. 

Recommended attire: Yoga pants and a tank top that you can tuck in

Lyra (L2)

In this intermediate Lyra class, we will condition and develop aerial strength, work on beats and dynamic movement, rolls and rotationals, begin to explore drops, and transitions between the low and high bars. 

Recommended attire: yoga pants and a tank top that you can tuck in. 

Prereqs: Double knee hang with no hands, one pull up holding onto the top bar

Aerial Silks (L1)

Aerial Silks L1 is for those new to aerials. We’ll begin each class with conditioning movement on the ground and working with the lower third of the silk, developing the core work, flexibility and strength needed to move safely up into the air. You’ll learn how to climb up the silks, wrap foot-locks and transition to positions and tricks in the air. You’ll also work on inversion preparation. 

Recommended Attire: Leggings and a bodysuit/tight fitting top

Aerial Silks (L2)

In Aerial Silks L2, we will begin working on inversions in the air, wraps in and out of egg-beaters, single star drop, saltos and tricks. In each class, students will learn how to transition between tricks to develop aerial combos that students will dance together at the end of class. 

Prereqs: Ability to climb to the top of the silks, Hip Key, Foot lock in the a

Aerial Straps (Int+)

This class introduces aerial straps techniques to students with an int./adv. level practice in another aerial apparatus or pole. We will spend the first half of class on strength and conditioning drills. The latter half of the class will be spent developing traditional skills, and working through combinations both static and spinning.

Prereq: 3 Pull Ups or Attending Intermediate Level Pole or Aerial Silks Classes 

Active Flexibility (All Levels)

In this Active Flexibility class, we will build and strengthen the muscular system in order to support a deepening range of motion through the body. Each class is organized around a focus on either splits or backbends. This class is all levels but is not a restorative yoga flow. If you are an extra sweaty student, please bring a small hand towel to use. 

Recommended Attire: Leggings and a bodysuit/tight fitting top

Handstands & Inversions (All Levels)

In this all levels Handstands and Inversions class, we’ll progress through headstand, shoulder stand, forearm stand and handstand holds and variations. This class emphasizes conditioning drills, core work and quality of movement to build handstand technique.
